When I planned my scuba diving trip to Con Dao, I expected beautiful coral reefs. And don't get me wrong, they were amazing. But I saw something on Amadive Con Dao's dive list: **Diving a Sunken Wreck**. My heart jumped. This was more than a typical reef dive; this was an journey into the past.

I have to admit, I felt a little apprehensive. Wreck diving is serious business. But the team at **Amadive Con Dao Dive Center** was absolutely professional. Their PADI guides gave us a very thorough safety briefing. We covered safety protocols, the history of the wreck, and what we would see. Being in a small group immediately put me at ease confident.

Going down was surreal. At first, it's a dark shape in the distance, then suddenly it came into view. It was huge. It's now a thriving artificial reef, covered in corals and swarming with fish. I spotted big groupers peeking from inside the hull, and lionfish hiding in the cracks. That feeling of gliding alongside this silent, ghostly structure was hard to describe—haunting, awe-inspiring, and humbling all at once. It's a time capsule on the seabed.

For any an Open Water diver (or higher) coming to Con Dao and looking for something more the standard reef, I cannot recommend this **dive** highly enough. It was the unforgettable highlight of my Vietnam trip.
